Hey guys, I'm Jake from Surrey and I'm new here. (Sounds like an alcoholic group haha)

Just bought myself an Atlanta blue 1.9 1997 Z3. It was owned by an old lady for the last 15 year's with only 85k on the clock. Needs some sill work doing which it's going in for tomorrow and need to find some new panels (I'm assuming from the dude in the coupe!).

I've already polished the headlights, fixed the issue with the seats, tried to fix the mirror and failed so going to make some little F1 mirrors work or something. Done an oil change etc. Should be on the road soon...

Next things will be coilovers and style 66 wheels, maybe new steering wheel. Just little bits.

Hi Jake and welcome from me near Lincoln. Also, just so you know, the cars doesn't have to have an internal rear view mirror for the MOT or to be"legal". You have to have an O/S mirror plus one other, which can be the N/S mirror.

Tony ( And Jake ) mot rules on mirrors have changed now .
For z3 age 2 mirrors required one must be offside other can be either nearside or internal.
After 2010 all 3 required.

So nearside and offside with no internal will pass an mot.
I know you have said this already Tony just thought I'd post up the latest information for others benefit.
