Hi there!
Long story short, I've been looking for a "project car" for a little while to play around with on a weekend and to use while doing afew jobs on my L200, so have been gifted a car by the Mother-in law. Its a BMW Z3 on an R plate, M44 1.9l engine. On the outside its fairly tidy, but under the hood there has been nothing but neglect unfortunately.
Its been off the road in her garage sine 2019, as it failed MOT and she couldn't afford the repairs. She has owned it since 2007, and "as far as she knows" it has never had an oil change!!! Thats 12 years covering 34,000 miles... My heart sank. So I'm getting it over to my place to have a poke around and to see if it is salvageable.
I look forward to sifting through the forums and getting your guys thoughts on the situation :'D

Tip: Since we are Worldwide update your User details to show your location and exact year and car model, it assists us answering any questions you post, you may have other members close by who can offer assistance if you need it. Bolster your toolbox with a decent code scanner but be aware early cars will have OBD1 which limits the type of diagnostics you can run. OBD2 will work with Creator 310+ scanners and these won't break the bank.

Hi and welcome from me, at least those engines are cheap to work as long as the head gasket is intact so the head will be ok. A good inspection of all the hoses worth a good check to rule out air leaks. Keep us posted.
