Help needed.

OK folks, I am just going to explain what I am seeking. Its very easy.. its your passenger seat and some time. If you have not been aware, I support a forces charity called Help 4 Heros which gives support to injured service personal from our great armed forces. Not far from us here is Tedworth House, a place where these good people get support and much needed help. It is a residential home up in Tidworth near Andover.

Now the idea is that a few of us take a few of these good people out for a drive around the lovely countryside and stop for a afternoon tea. Then take them back home to Tedworth House. So its basically giving a little time and your passenger seat to say thank you.

I am hoping once I have a rough idea of number that we might get afternoon tea at one of the local bases on Salisbury Plain too.

So who is willing to give some time next summer for a great cause?

Have a word with Thruxton and give up your driver's seat (for those that are able).

I'm sure that a word in the right ear and a bit of good advertising could persuade them to give you a free trackday. You would probably have to pay for marshalling and recovery services, but even that could be donated by the suppliers.

I'd consider coming down if there were enough interest.

Make it known to other enthusiasts (Aston Martin, Ferrari owners' clubs etc.). Pistonheads would be a good place to start.

I've heard of this sort of thing being done, but usually based at empty RAF camps, such as Marham.

Good luck with your efforts.

@Pingu Its more a leisurely drive as these guys are recovering from some things I would dare not contemplate. Good idea though too.

Mike and David, thank you I will add you to the list. I will when I have an idea of numbers speak to Tedworth and get more information on dates.

Can only applaud what you are doing. I think its a great way to show appreciation.
Unfortunately, I am over 300 miles and at least a 6 hour drive away from you so not in a position to offer much more than my encouragement.
Hope you get plenty of offers from the local Zeders.

Let me talk to work when I'm back. The company is a very big supporter of Help for Heroes and based in Winchester. Might be able to get something extra. Got lots of ex forces working for us too. Hopefully some willing helping hands if needed.
As soon as you have some dates let us know.

Hi there,

I'm game if I can make the dates so add me to the list. I might not be driving a pure Z3 by then so this may limit my suitability.

What a great idea, without dates it is difficult to commit to this at the moment, but will watch for the dates in the future, will be happy to help out.
