Returning to Drive Zed after a few years out of one . Brought myself a 99 2.8 in atlanta blue with a cream/tan interior .
84k from new and short of a few age related marks just a few stone chips the cars fantastic.
Looked at a few and snapped this up within 30 mins of listing on ebay for a great price. Had to be a 2.8 as the last one i owned was a 2.8 and going and test driving a few 1.9's they didn't quite hit the spot... think the wide body of the pre facelift version was a big pull for me and decided i couldn't settle for anything less.
Roll on summer .......

Thanks Guys its great to be back in one its the one car i have owned that when opportunity to own another came up there was no doubt it was going to happen.
It was definitely right place ,right time thats for sure ! My old one was modded to the hilt not sure if to touch this , its that unmolested it almost seems sacralidge!! Lol....

Ahh another fellow member from South Yorkshire Yeah i think so certainly for a car of its age its fantastic in its condition just waiting for the old owner to re mot it as they advised they would as it is nearly out and very little mileage from the last one which passed no advisories can't wait to pick her up and enjoy !!!

I live in a little town just outside Doncaster called Thorne.
I was quite surprised on the interior most i had looked at and a very common trait of most bmw is bolster wear but there isn't any not even crease lines... it may have been restored but if it has its been done to a high standard . To say im the 8th owner its like climbing in a new car.
History on it is faultless bm or specialist every 10k from new only thing to sort is a spare key, from what i can find on line a good locksmith can delete keys no longer too hand and reprogramme some more so will be one of the first jobs for peace of mind, its not the first car i have had with only had one key for but a spare is always handy.

Some of you may remember me from my old 2.8 was a few years back but after owning this its was a no brainer to get another !!!

Loved this car and modded it to the hilt full m50 manifold conversion , coilovers etc it was a very sorted car but life changed and she had to go.
The new one will be staying many years i hope as for its mods im undecided even detangoing it seems wrong lol it may be an age thing , but then the new ones far cleaner in everyway to start with even though its cost less than half to buy !
