Has anyone moved their hood operating switch from the rear to the front? Is it simple or a PITA. any info gratefully received. I am about to move mine.
thanks Chris
Folks, Is anyone aware of a 'How to' guide that explains how to move the switch that operates the roof to the area where the air con and DSC switches are? The likelihood of switching the DSC off, is for me, remote, so it may as well be in the location for the hood switch and relocate the DSC...
Hi Tony took a deep breath and bit the bullet. Nowhere as difficult as I feared. Both seats out, tunnel cover removed, all switches etc clearly marked hood switch wiring untied from harness for half its length then folded forward. DSC switch cut and a length of light 5 core soldered in its place and the switch reattached for fitting in place of the hood switch. Probably 6 hours.thanks Chris
Further to my Hood switch relocation, I fell for the 5 card trick. I switched on the ignition to test check my wiring, and of course lit up the airbag lamp.
any ideas on the best resetting tool. It is a 2000 3.0i.
Thanks in anticipation
Chris
