Can anyone help, I've just bought a 2006 3.0Si Sport it has a fairly complicated radio come navigation come computer system.

I'd like to pair my phone (iPhone 8) with it, reading the handbook etc it keeps referring to another manual which has these instructions, but I don't have that documents.

Not sure what the unit is called, I've attached a picture of it in the hopes that someone can help me.

This is the fun part, you will need the pairing code if you cant find it you will need to get eyes on the bluetooth module behind the seat. The pairing button is on the pull down door between the seats, if its not there it will be the button on (speech symbol) on the steering wheel.

I have the manual In the garage if you get stuck.

That would be great, however my handbook just refers to another handbook which I don't have, why can't they just put it all in one place....

Holy s***, that sounds bloody complicated, when you say behind the seat do you mean behind that panel behind the seat or written on the seat ?

It's written on the module which is under one of the panels, One of Tonys videos above might help. You need one which has the flip up screen like you do.

So finally cracked it, many thanks to @t-tony & @Lee
Get your phone on and in bluetooth section
Put the key in the ignition leave it in position 0
Push down the button circled below
Count to 3 seconds
Turn ignition key to position 1
Count to 3 seconds,
Release the button (ignore the fact that the nav screen is still opening)
Wait........
Eventually you phone will come up with an ID in the form BMWnnnnn where nnnnn is the last 5 digits of the VIN
It will then ask for the PIN code (as highlighted by Lee)
Put the PIN in and it should pair, took me 3 goes before this worked, but it did work and I know have my entire phone book on the car system, actually quite slick.
