Not Z related but I do not have any other social presence so please help.
friend bought a Jeep Wrangler that was parked for 5 years in a Greek island.
down below the surface rust is quite disturbing…
Is there any chemical or quick way to get this fixed or does he have to follow the traditional path aka wire brush and diesel?

thanks in advance.

Wire brush, wire wheel. Treat with ker-rust, then hammerite i would suggest.

Wire brush the areas to get rid of any flaky areas and then consider spraying a protective coating over the entire underside of the car.
This product seems to have good reviews, not tried it myself but may well do so.

Par for the course with Jeep and many other US vehicles.
I used to dislike testing them for this reason. I would mix some diesel and waste oil and spray the underside with that.

Tony.

Just spray a suitable anti rust wax on there and leave it at that.
