How bizarre....... last night I trawled the web looking for the very same thing and narrowed it down to 2 to ask for samples

This one and

This one

so I'm just awaiting those to make my decision.

Unless anyone else has any knowledge/personal recommendations??

Which type of cover are you looking for, just the dust type cover or the thicker fleece type?

Hmm,

Choice of 3, first two trading @£250, latter one £50. Big price differential. Mr H, are you using ther ebay one yourself? My intended use is an indoor garage just to keep UV rays off it (skylight) and the dust.

Big difference in what you're getting too.

If you get one of the generic sized ones, are they that effective at stopping dust? Not sure myself, leaning towards probably no??

You can go all out and get one of These

I didn't realise Simon did them, his site never came up in my search, they look like the ones from Classic Additions but cheaper.

Checking further it looks like he has a "Partner" that do them.... they do a standard indoor one too for £46

Yes http://www.everycarcovered.com/ is associated with Simon @ JustRoadster.com. If its anything to do with him, you can be pretty sure it's good as the rest of his stuff is. Good service too.

You could always approach him about a Zorg group buy. He might give a bit of a discount for quantity!

Zedzen - I'm sure a few more people will come along and offer they opinion/recommendation.

Personnally I want a thicker one as our garage is attached to the house and we have white goods in there and there is a lot of "foot traffic" and whenever I find a little scratch on Zippy everyone denies all knowledge. He's just been resprayed so I thought the thicker one would afford more protection and I have a problem with dust flying round the garage and landing on him when I've just spent 6 hrs cleaning him so I want a snug one that's going to keep the dust off.

Simon - JustRoadster - is an ex Z3 owner and is a straight guy who usually turns up to meets like Newby Hall and Harewood House and he only seems to deal in Quality goods so I'd be confident if he's put his name to something then it will be good quality. IMHO

We could also see if a few people want them we might be able to get a better deal? It's worth asking.

One of my bargains buys that year :D

Classic Additions fully fitted like new for £52 pounds off ebay (I have never seen another one since):

They are a perfect fit elasticated at the bottom and very soft. Worth £200 more than a one size fits all is hard to say. They are undoubteldy better and you could also factor in that you would likely get 50% at least of the value back if you came to sell it (so long as in decent condition).

So a £50 - resale value of say £20 = £30 v £250 less say £125 = £125 so to me the price difference is really c£100 but of course you are tying capital up (can you tell I was an accountant for 20 years lol).

And before anyone asks no I'm not selling mine for £125 ;-)

Oh and they look damn sexy when fitted, what value can you put on that ?

Cheers Jonttt - I'd trawled .net and found your thread - it was deep in your Journal... @-) you seem very adept at finding Ebay bargains :D

I get your drift with the calculations, but I was factoring in the cost of my respray and trying to protect that investment too.

They do seem a lot but then quality usually has to be paid for. If the ones from Simon are just as good as CA then the price on Simons site is £187.05 with £10 p & p, but if you follow the link to ECC then they're £205.75 ??

I await my samples to decide :D

I'm going round in circles now and it's leading me to think that there is possibly only 1 supplier of the same covers here.

I received 2 sample packs this morning, material feels/looks identical but the real giveaway is both envelopes have been hand written by the same person (both spelling my name the wrong way). When you start digging a bit on the web sites and looking at who owns them they appear to just be traders but one of them (based in Essex) say they are the main distributors and are looking for more trade outlets to distribute their products.

Simon is also the owner of Every Car Covered - it says on his web site "Just Roadster" is trading as "Every Car Covered".

So it appears they may all possibly be the same covers and it might be just a case of finding the best price. I now have 2 more sample packs on their way.......

Cheers Boysie... I know they are different companies it was going down the lines of the covers all coming from the same distributor/manufacturer. I'll await these other samples 1st then I'll make some phone calls. Classic Additions also do the luggage that I've had my eye on for a couple of years (might also be a way to persuade my other half to another Europe trip) plus they've already said they'll give me a discount off the web price. I'll speak to everyone 1st though before I make a decision, I know Simon is straight so if I can I'll give him the trade.

Did you discuss any kind of discount for Zorg with him??
