Hi Need some advice please and sorry if this is in the wrong place.
I have a broken rear shock and after browsing the web it seems to be a common problem. As far as I know my car is standard but as I may be using for motor sport at some point I am thinking of getting better springs and eibach seem to be mentioned quite a bit.
Can anyone advise on this a best place for a good deal.

Cheers Julie

German ebay, my Eibachs where £100 delivered, however the pound has dropped against the Euro since then.

My Z4 has the m sport springs, I think they are 15mm lower than the standard springs. The front bumper gets VERY close to speed bumps as it is, I wouldn't fancy going lower. The Eibachs give a 30mm drop. I had them on my Z3 and they were great but I'll not be putting them on my Z4. To be honest I find the M tech springs more than up to a bit of motorsport. If they ever break, I'll be replacing like for like.

I drive ours very spiritedly and have no issues with the suspension apart from scraping under the bumper when i get too close to the curb

I find my Z3 the same, I have only had one issue with a very large speed hump.

All early z4 3.0's came with m sport suspension as standard.

If you can take the 30mm drop then the Eibachs are the best solution, much better ride than on the OEM sport springs. I'm scuffing on the speed bumps near me, but will continue to put up with it for the better ride. The Eibachs will as said work out cheaper than the BMW ones as well.

Husband has just done some searching for me and had come back with a set of spax springs all round to lower it as it looks allstandard to him they are
from demon tweeks.

My Eibach lowered my 3.0 Z4 approx. 18mm below the sport it came on. I wouldn't go any lower though.

I wouldn't fit spax, especially if I was considering taking up a bit of motor sport. The eibach is a progressive spring and is superior to spax in every way. If I were a spotty teen needing to drop my chavvie mk1 polo to the floor it would be spax all the way! (Apologies to those that have spax fitted but I really don't like their products)
