Have a look at the BMW insurance. I am "mature" driver of a 1999 2.8 and was very pleased with a quote for £246 fully comp and small excess, so I asked for an introductory price and was offered £217 which I accepted. We live a bit out in the sticks and this may be reflected in the price but for our area this was the best overall deal for me. Hope this helps.

Hi Ron
I searched around for a classic policy for my 2002 model without much success. I have another 1982 car and this is insured quite cheaply on a standard classic policy but nobody seemed keen to do similar for the Z. In the end I added the car to my Admiral multicar policy and with a mileage limitation, this worked out 40% cheaper than any other quote!

Good luck!

I'm with Chris Knott at the moment. The main advantage I've found with them is they aren't phased when you talk about modifications like some of the mainstream companies. Not that mine is currently modified except for the 18's.

My previous insurance broker had to work much harder to find companies to cover mods.

I just turned 49 :meh:
Fully comp with fully protected no claims for the life of the policy, not too shabby at the price I guess.

Looks like a good price. Have a look at Classicline Modern Classic also, Mine cost £239 based on 5000 miles a year which includes european cover, UK and european beakdown cover and, with pre authorisation, track cover. So whilst the price is higher than your quote the extra bits could save you spending separately. Of course if you don't need the extras then stick with the best price.
