Hi guys,

As above titled, just an introduction to me and my Z3. Had it since the start of December 23’, never a car i’d ever imagine myself being in but after having my previous Audi A4 Avant written off, the Z3 being sold as a cheap, local car to me and the fact I’ve wanted to get into a RWD car to practice skidding for a while now, it was a no brainer choice!

I love it. Great little car, despite the tendency to leak water in, it keeps me hooked and I can’t wait to have the top down this summer 😎

As with every car I’ve owned, it’s been bought ‘stock’ to start with and i’ve done some well overdue upgrades aswell as some basic maintenance and small fixes.

Firstly got a set of Prosport coilovers with Hopwpod Motorsport Pillowball camber top mounts on (was originally going to go BC but after to speaking to the guy who was supplying me, opted out as if i do end up crashing and bending a strut to start with, it’ll be a little bit lighter on the wallet), also in the process of poly bushing all the car.

Front lollipop bushes are done, Front and Rear ARB bushes done along with front and rear drop links replaced. Brand new Meyle HD front bottom arms as the original ball joints were absolutely shot! New Meyle HD rear top mounts also.

Planning on doing the Rear Axle, Diff mount and Rear arm bushes in the very near future when i can get a chance to get the car on my friends 2 poster on a weekend. This will also include welding in the ‘Born2Drift’ rear arm brace kit on the rear arms and the camber and toe adjustment kit too.

After that’s all done, or possibly the same time i’ll be welding the stock diff that’s in it( 3.45 ratio) as after speaking to a handful of people about different ratios, this seems to be the most suitable one for a daily driving and drifting car.

My Favourite modification by far on the car though is my Personal Neo Grinta steering wheel. The difference it makes to the feel and drive of the car are unbelievable!

There’s a few other bits and bobs i’ve done aswell but i’ll save boring you all with that list and just drop some of the latest photos i’ve got of the car 👌🏼

:welcome: to the Forum from West Cumbria. You can get a waterproof half cover that'll keep the leaks at bay until you find a fix. Pop a Progress Thread up here if you like.

Hi Mate,

Yeah i’ve already got one of those! Bought it a couple weeks back to use on the car when it’s parked up and i’m away with work, really good bit of kit, just a bit of a faff sometimes when in and out of the car when daily’ing, either that or i’m just too lazy 🤣

Hi and welcome from me near Lincoln. Have you got the original steering wheel to fit for the MOT?

Tony.

Cheer Tony!

I have still got it but I’ve got it up for sale if anyone interested!

I have a friendly tester so shouldn’t be an issue 😉

Hi and welcome from me. Not to be a kill joy but wouldn’t it be a bit difficult with the insurance if you were unfortunate to be in an accident and not having the airbag steering wheel in? I know it would be a faff but couldn’t you just change over the steering wheels at drift event, anyway enjoy:coolsteer)
