Just saw this advert come up on the forum Facebook group, and thought that it's worth showing that factory roll hoops clearly work well...

Ouch, that’s a sorry sight.
Note the how the windscreen has also provided it’s as-designed roll protection. For those without roll hoops, the seats in a Z3 are also designed for roll protection- that’s why they are so heavy. Ive seen crash testing videos, and they they work well ( but in real life I think you would have to remember to duck)…

Edited first post to add another photo of the interior from another source. Shows how much the seats have helped along with the hoops, no interior bits for sale on this one...

Its amazing how much protection small sports cars can provide, I seen some pictures over the years of cars drivers have walked away from - sorry I havent any to hand. Gent who services mine has a chassis you wouldn't recognise that was walked away from with scratches.

No reason not to feel safe in them, yet many ppl equate size with safety.

BTW I recon with a bit of T-Cut it'll be sorted

Passenger seat doesn't look like it's done a great job, the top looks like it's taken a fair whack and crumpled

They are selling the brakes. Probably a good price since they have very little use.

When you remove the seat from the base you won’t below how light they are - all the weight is in the base.
Despite what the internet says I’d not want my head protecting by just the seat, having taken one apart.

Agreed..The point I was trying to make by saying in ‘real life you would have to remember to duck’ is that your head extends above the seat. Can’t see the point of protecting the torso if your head is knocked off. (Have a mate that rolled a Caterham once. Luckily he is very short- but even so he was quite literally scalped as the top of his head scraped along the road NB don’t want to panic anyone- he was going stupidly fast down a narrow lane, swerved up a bank to avoid an oncoming car, so in that case it was the excessive speed and the bank that caused it to flip. I wonder how hard it would be to flip a Z3 without doing something excessive? Anyone know how this Zed was rolled?

Nope, I was in discussion about the rear subframe assembly but on closer inspection its twisted.

There really isn't too much usable left.

I have purchased an item off this car however, since paying via paypal, I have not heard back aside from my inquiry as to when it will be posted. "Tomorrow". Might be a little early for the alarm bells but I have a sneaky feeling...As always, it'll be good to be proven wrong.
