As per title as zebedee is going to get an oil change before he come back on the road

As any one used them or is it best to stick with Oem from the dealers

I've got the air filter, not the induction, just the direct replacement in the air box

Any info on the performance of the oil filter appreciated

When my oil has been changed in the past it's been OEM replacements. When we changed the oil in BMBabe's 2.2i we used a pattern filter from GSF Car Parts. Seems to do the job perfectly well...

Got SEVE fully serviced , engine flush , k&n air filter , standard straight replacement , mechanic says looking at 15 hp more , took him for a run to Oban via glencoe from perth and fuel economy defo seemed to be great. ! Lifetime guarantee with the air filter too ! Can't be bad

Oem from the dealers
By all means buy OEM quality filters, but you don't have to get them from BMW dealers. Most after market suppliers do sell OEM quality parts for a lot less. Often, when you look at "Genuine" parts you will see the original manufacturers trade mark on them, and it won't be BMW.
