Hi all,

Haven't posted much on the Zeds of late, waiting for the weather to improve so I can fit the carbon splitters to the Z3 :)

The Z4 is going great although haven't had the roof down as much as I would like with the :rain( Only mod planned is fitting the Roadster Solutions perspex deflector :) Unfortunately he has to go and see the doc next Wednesday to have the Wastegate Solenoid valve replaced as its too noisy :| These Zeds chatting too fellow owners have their fare share of problems so keeping my fingers crossed :coolsteer)

Pic taken this morning on a beautiful summers day :^o

That looks more like a mini than a Z4
In which case, shouldn't it have been a Mini-ature Poodle ?

Tim, take no notice of them, its gorgeous - you keep parking like that and have a ding free car :ymhug: What was the roof doing up though ? and did you get any of that mud or leaves on the tyres

How are you getting on with the soft top cover? Tim. Is doing the job you wanted, leaf wise, as well as safe guarding against having to bale out the Zed in this monsoon weather :-ss .

Have you tried it on the Z4, it looked like it might fit, even though the mirrors are slightly higher. :-bd

Very nice Tim. How are you finding ownership? Is it a lot different to the Z3?

Excuse me I'am a joyrider, I'm driving a Zed afterall :D

Jill, that morning it was heavy drizzle :( but managed roof down this evening after work :coolsteer) off work tomorrow as planning too fit the wind deflector and its an amber weather warning for torrential rain :-w haha people always criticise my parking but there are too many inconsiderate :(|) around who are quite happy to damage your car.

EnthuZiaZT, haven't tried the roof cover as yet ashamed to say the Z3 has been garaged the past month after its MOT which it passed with flying colours but will be out soon, I was planning on using the cover where I park in the above pic as its next to some trees, I'm not sure I will be trying it on the Z4 as its retractable tin top ;)

The Z4 compared to the Z3 is very different, the Z4 is very much more hardcore, you know its a sports car where the Z3 is alot softer, more comfortable but then it doesn't have runflats, however its very much lost in the handling stakes compared to the Z4 which handles like its on rails. I love the Z4s comfort/Sport/Sport Plus button, press the sport button whilst on the move and the car suddenly surges forward like the leash has been cut and the steering sharpens up to a go kart feel :) Haven't tried the sport plus as basically it turns off the traction control, something I wouldn't do much on public roads. Build quality of the Z4 is superb, feels very substantial, a little heavy to drive but the 2 litre twin scroll turbo pulls well, I imagine the 35i is a blast. It does feel quite a wide car at times compared to the Z3. Thing I do like is the boot is quite large with the roof up :) for a roadster. All in all very pleased. Not had any real problems, the roof leaked once on the passenger side after it rained hard all day but after putting the roof down and up again it hasn't leaked since. I'm having the wastegate valve replaced next week as it whines when cold but goes once warmed up but all done under warranty. I'm slightly worried by some of the posts on Z4 Forum as a few owners who picked their Zed up around the same time as me are suffering a few niggles ranging from, leaky roof passenger side, dashboard rattles, stalling engine and dancing windows so hoping mine will be trouble free in the main.
