Legal front tow hook plate?

So has any one used a tow hook front plate holder anywhere in the uk?

Struggling to find anywhere that sells the correct legal uk size, there all 8x6in.

Also curious to see how people have mounted there plates on the front.

I don't know what size it is, but, it will be left hand thread.

Often quoted on forums as M16x3 RH.
Except it’s not.

I think that’s called a knuckle thread.
Im just going to make my own plate carrier from a BMW tow eye.

Update:

So I purchased this off eBay for £10.

For BMW 1/3/5 Series Front Bumper Tow Hook License Plate Mounting Bracket Holder | eBay

Screw in from the tow area/hole. 2 different size of spacer gives you more space options between the bumper and bracket. for 1995-2003 BMW E39 5 Series. for 2008-2012 BMW E82 E88 1 Series 128i 135i 1M.

Plate holder size is 195x136mm
Thread size 16mmx3mm? Ish (it fits)

Needs some adjustment gonna shorten the thread to get a more snug fit. Will update when done.

New plate was the smallest legal size I could get for 7 character plate (226x155 mm)
