Perhaps there ought to be an M52 bit bigger than massive.;)
This made me think of a conversation I had the other night about the amount of M43's and M44's on the forum.
It was mentioned that some people my not be aware that they are, in fact, running an M43.
(Nothing wrong with that by the way)
This was just one of those conversations that sparked my interest. This is the difference.........

Mine is a M43 confirmed when i was in at BMW the other day and my car is a year 2000 I might be wrong but,

am i right in saying if the car has a 1.9 engine and has front side lights in the bumper it is an M43

One episode of TopGear (the Christmas edition a year or 2 back) showed James May with a Z3. He claimed the car was way down on power and did not compare well with either the MX5 or the Fiat sports car used by Clarkson and Hammond. I guess his car had the M43 engine, or the engine was shot. Can anybody confirm this?

Pics required once it's done.

I followed your advice on mine. 2 coats of VHT Red which was more orange than red, so topped it off with Halfords BMW red and it has been ok temp wise.
