Guys after reading a couple of threads regarding this upgrade on the M52tub28 I am considering it on my 2.0l, would I need the same parts as per the 2.8 upgrade, does anyone know of it been done to a 2.0l
Thanks

Hi Sean

Been looking at BMW part numbers today for a non Z related project. The inlet manifold (11611439965) is the same on the M52TUB25 and M52TUB28. It would likely be a good candidate for your M52TUB20 engine as the throttle body will bolt straight up without a adapter plate.

Cheers

Muzz

Just checked that intake manifold part number to see where it is used and it is also used on the M52TUB20 engine. Likely you already have that manifold already installed. Sorry for not doing the full research last night.

Looking at the M54 inlet manifolds
- 11617525752 fits the 2.0 to 2.5 L range of engines
- 11617525753 is specific to the 3.0 L engine

Looks like the 3.0 L manifold is the one to get for more air flows.

Not sure if you would get any real gains on the 2.0 L engine when you already have a manifold that BMW uses on a 2.8 L engine. Might be a lot of work and expense for nothing?
