I can't for the love of money find my car user manual !

Does anyone have a spare manual or know how I can obtain one ?

Specifically for a wide bodied BMW Z3 Roadster - 1997 - 2.8 6 Cylinder

Any help appreciated

There is no such thing as a Z3 manual. You can buy a Bentley (I think) manual for the E36 series which covers a lot of the Z3. Haynes never made one specifically for the Z3 models.
If you’re looking for the original BMW Owners handbook they come up on eBay but usually quite expensive. Andy @spurs fan in a coupe may have one.

New item wanted

Does anyone have, or know where I can source, a near side (front) side light lens cover for a 1997 Z3 ?

These are for USA left hand drive market, are they not? Quite a lot of things not covered on the vast majority of Z3s, ie. RHD models. Also very expensive and written in American English. Better than nothing I guess, if you can find one. ;)

Yes, the most expensive book in the world and (so far) I have not found it to be very good at all. US market only and there are a LOT of differences. Many of the explanations are not detailed enough and presume you know most of it. If I knew stuff, I wouldn't need a book would I?
Haynes are MUCH better but don't do one specifically for the Z3.

Which, reading between the lines, means there is no such thing as a Z3 manual. If someone wants to pay £100 x £200 for something as much use as a chocolate fireguard, well that’s their choice. I wouldn’t bother personally.

Talking of haynes manuals (sorry I'm going off topic). I remember in the 70's the haynes manuals went into quite a lot of detail. Even down to using plastigauge to measure the wear in your big ends. But last haynes I had went as far as checking your fan belt and anything more complicated than that it told you to take it to the main dealer. Anyone else noticed that?

Haynes do 2 different E36 manuals
One with a green e36 ( e36 only)

But they also did one with a Red E36 on the cover which also covers pre face-lift z3 models.

Each section tells you the e36 strip down then after it the next paragraph covers any difference in the z3.
Isn't a complete z3 manual but still useful for the money.

18021 is the manual number.

Yes, the Haynes manual is for USA (LHD) models, as is my Bentley BMW 3 series service manual and Bentley BMW Z3 service manual.
Shame no apparent RHD manuals. :(

I have a manual. Never buy a BMW auto, just as never buy a Mercedes Benz manual. On my 4th MB ;)

An unwritten rule of car buying
