So Friday evening we decided that maybe a 4 was a better choice than a 3….started looking seriously on Saturday morning. Found what looked like a beauty - 04/05 2.2 se, met blue with beige full leather, fsh, 60k miles, 2 owners…£3295. Rang up, genuine gent confirmed details - was his sunny day car! someone already viewing and sure enough it sold 😢😢

I’m new to the market so I’m just wondering whether it was as good a buy (sadly for someone else) as I think, or will there be another similar one along very soon ??
The rest on the market at the moment seem to be either twice the miles or number of owners, or lacking history, or all 3!!

Any opinions??

That sounded like a good buy, presumably maldives blue, possibly the nicest colour E85 and low miles. There are still a lot of E85 s out there, it's finding a good one that's the problem. If you want to keep the car and drive it as opposed to polishing it and storing it, don't be put off by mileage.Condition and history is everything.

The trouble with them E85 and even more so the E89 models is that they’re much easier to live with as an “every day” car and so the mileage is racking up much quicker.

Cheers guys. It definitely looked a great buy! Dammit! I agree with the mileage thing - that was a bonus to be honest! I’m realistic, after all a 15 year old car on 100k has averaged under 7k/year which really isn’t much imo.
Thanks for feedback - just wanted to judge whether I’m expecting too much!

I found an E85 (2003) with 16,500 on it 6 years ago but things like that are few and far between .

Hello all, I am smitten with the Z3, but finding what I want and probably more importantly, what I can afford is proving a right headache.
So have started looking at the Z4, I have found two so far. Half sensible mileage, full history, good MOT history and relatively low owners. The prices also seem very keen. Ok, I will ring up and see what the crack is. SOLD, SOLD, SOLD.

I will keep looking, perseverance and all that.

Tommo.
