New front strut brace designed for the Z3

The front strut braces are complete. To match the rear strut braces
They cost a little more to make than I predicted but I'm really happy with the result. Powder coated in heat resistant paint in gunmetal paint. I will post the prices as soon as I have done the maths. But the should be between 120-150 with free delivery in the UK. I have 7 left from the first manufacture order. The M44 requires quite a lot more work. And the brace will inevitably be less effective due to the route it will need to take across the engine. I will look into it. Especially as there are very few 4 cylinder braces for the Z3 available. And the E36 3 series 4 cylinder braces don't fit the Zeds. It's in the pipeline.

You're quite right in saying that these don't fit the 6 cyl models Anthony, and that is because they're mounted higher, but with some modification they will fit. I fitted one on my car, primarily because it was considerably less expensive than the other types available.

Nice work tony. Do you have a 4 cylinder Zed then? I'm pretty sure my brace will fit the most of the zed and e36 6 cylinders.

Hi Anthony, no my car is a 2.0 6 cyl. The strut brace fitted on the top strut mounting bolts ok after a small cut out for the earthing point. The problem was the extra height of the holes that the cross brace attached to. When I had finished fitting it instead of dropping the bonnet from a few inches as normal, some thing told me to lower it gently and that's when I found that the underside of the bonnet would have hit the cross brace mounting points. So I cut about 1" off the top of the brackets and re-drilled them, then screwed the adjustable ends further out to reach the new mounting holes.
