Seemed like a good idea at the time... You've all gotta wait a week till it's finished and then I'll post up the full project in magnificent pictorial detail! :D

I'm pretty sure you don't ;)
We'll see. I'll tweet the answer. Could only be a couple of things surely. I bet your replacing all the seats and trim for pink leather  Stacey's idea ;)

It always amazes me the detail that people look at pictures and how often its something in the background that catches there eye. :)
Gaz make sure you get the hoover out before the seats go back in.

Hoovering has already been done! Can't show that picture yet... Also now 66 pence richer than when I started, always a positive side to things.

Lot of work for 66p Gaz. ;) I found £1.20 in mine last week without taking the seats out. My money's on a new interior even if that's a bit obvious. We wait with baited breath.

Tony.

A sneakier peek at the project - deliberately obscured in B&W so as not to spoil the reveal next weekend! Probably not a big surprise that I have fitted a two tone interior. Oh, and yes that is matching two tone leather dash panels to complete the extended leather interior :D

Means that I have a set of red heated electric memory seats up for sale soon ;)

The reason this has been such a big project is that one of the new door cards was damaged, and were also the basic style. My car has extended leather fitted, so I've spent the best part of a day and a half changing the leather panels over. It's not a simple process like on the Z3 as it's hard plastic glued on very securely. You can see how much of that glue I've had to deal with on this picture where I've applied the new glue to bond the panels back on again.

Is the leather on the seat the same type as the original or are the new seats better quality leather .
I don't know much about z4 seats .
Like i know a lot of z3 have nappa on the sides and oregon leather on the center panels but you get upgraded leather like mine which are full nappa.

I'm not 100% sure, they are definitely different leathers. The new ones are more shiny, and my originals are a little flatter in appearance. I'm fairly sure the leather on the red seats are better quality, and they also have some patterns on them as well which is to do with the extended leather option.

Me too billz!

I can honestly say it's much easier swapping an interior on a Z3, and if I'd know how long this would take in advance I'd probably have skipped doing it.

One of the few advantages of the Z4 is that the seats move forwards far enough to easily get to the back bolts.

Wish I could afford your red set Gaz, as that's on my wish list in the future.
