This was something I was planning for next year but scouting on eBay came across these, sold by a garage they came from a Z3 that had 18,s put on. The owner said he would collect as we all know its hard enough getting one wheel in.

This was over a year ago and they have sat in the workshop covered up ever since. They have been refinished and to be fair they are in good condition a couple of marks/blemishes but no drama the tyres are all very good. So hey-ho just got them back and put one up against the car to see what they will look like.

So opinions what do you reckon keep as they are or re re-finish in black

Hi, yeah me too I like the contrast may just have the darker ones on as winter wheels, I got them for a steal at £46 for all four with tyres so can't complain.

Wow that is a bargain :p
The silver wheels make you Z look more classy :)
It's a good idea about keeping your best ones for summer ;)

Or, you could sell them on and maybe get a good amount for them to spend else where?

If silver is your preference why change? Change for the sake of change is not always good if it doesn't please you. That said, I like the new wheels and wish I could get a set that colour over here! JIM

Will do, was thinking about wheel spacers, any ideas on sizes for front and rear also are there any problems with using spacers and increasing the track to different widths front and back?

What tyre size is on the rim - gives the wheel an inflated appearance overall - maybe when fitted they will be fine. :(

I wondered that too David and I thought maybe it was on optical illusion because they're standing outside the wheel arch next to the original wheel. Appearance might be better if you had lined the spokes up too Andy. Re spacers, as long as you use the same both sides you'll be fine.;) Get good quality hub centric ones and always torque the bolts up to the correct figure.

Hi 225/50/16 same as what's on there at the mo. The spacer question was the back needs more spacing than the front. So would 15mm rear and 5mm front work or would increasing the rear further than the front cause any probs.

I had 20mm on the rear and 12mm on the fronts all with no problem. I've since fitted these on my Z4, again no problems.

Hi Andy, I bought a set of hub centric spacers from the US last year. A pair of 20mm for the rear and a pair of 12mm for the fronts. They certainly filled out the wheel arches, if you would like some pictures let me know and I'll dig them out over the weekend.

Another visit to the Z(shed of dreams) tm, today and to my shame (not for want of trying to pay) another free breakfast. So thanks @Lee dad for the bacon and egg bap.

I digress, back to the Shed and dropping off the wheels @spurs fan in a coupe bought from me and picking up the wheels that @Lee had sold me, the 108,s from the Z4 coupe.

Must admit these are among my favourite wheels and seeing the refurb @Sean d has done on his really wanted a set, so seeing them at @Lee place figured I would go for them.

They have made a serious difference already to the handling, the original wheels were tucked way too far into the arches. So just ordered a set of Goodyear Eagle asy tyres should have them fitted by the weekend. So just bushes and a 30mm drop as soon as Lee, Gaz and I can find the time to drop the car back to the Z Shed tm.

Anyway very happy thanks Lee and Gaz had another great time driving in Lee,s and Gaz,s new Z4.
