Just fitted some new LEDs from Horizon LEDs
80w Reds for Brakes and Fogs
5w Reds for tail lights
80w Whites for reversing.

to say they are impressively bright is an understatement.

I've used Cree lights for a while now, amazing how much light you can get from even one single LED chip with the lens magnifying it.

Niall here's my twopence worth your all your lights look great but in my opinion you have the same problem as me going by your pictures your rear sidelight are way too bright could be mistaken for fog lights by the police and then you'll find yourself at tbe sharp end of a £100 fine I've already tried 2 different sets of led in rear tail both removed as i thought they would be a pull.
I've ordered another 2 sets of different types to try get something I'd be happy to pass for an mot if it was fitted to someone elses car thats the criteria i try to go by.
Picture 2 especially your brake and tail look similar brightness but if it were bulbs tail is 5w and brake 21w so should be a considerable difference but yours dont look like that

Tony.

What do you have in the reversing lights @t-tony ? The Z4 lights are useless. They might tell anybody behind you that you're reversing but do give out enough light to illuminate behind the car.

They look much brighter in the picture I think the camera picks the reflector lens in the tail light up too with the flash, camera is a bit light sensitive, but tail lights are only slightly brighter than the standard bulbs in the real world only being 5w output, its the 80w that are impressive.

Also I see you can now get LED flasher units that do away with the need for resistors etc for LED conversion to LED bulbs about £12 (ish) I'll look in the new year see if they do them for the Z3

I bought one already then when it arrived i took out the zed one to discover that had about 6 pins on it and the one i bought only had 3.
If your sidelights are only slightly brighter thats fine pictures like you say camera glaring a bit
