Good afternoon from the Minneapolis Twin Cities!

The 1997 Z3 1.9A that's been in our family since 1999 has come home to roost. Mom bought it off a two-year lease as a CPO car with around 18k miles. It just turned 39k the other week. Perhaps obviously, there's more to the story there. I had thoughts about selling it to make some space, but...

1. It's basically a family member.
2. Every time I drive it – and I've been driving it on and off for 24 years – I get a big stupid grin.

One could make the argument it's the "worst" version of a Z3. I wouldn't disagree it would be happier not dragging around that GM-sourced autotragic, and I may one day swap it. Still, I just adore it. It's a great little car in the spirit of Roadsters I cut my teeth on; Datsun 1600, Mazda Miata, etc. More pictures soon.

Glad to be here.

:welcome: to the Forum from West Cumbria, England. A Zed is a Zed irrespective of model, sure we'd all like a fire breathing Z3M rocket ship but the fact is most of us don't so we just enjoy our "ordinary" Z3s for what they are, great cars 😀
