Hi, just to say hello, I have just collected my first Z3, an 1998 2.8, just yesterday. Love it so far, just can't seem to get myself out of it, quite literally, as this is a beyond midlife crisis and am not as flexible these days!
This is my first real second car and the first time I can afford to have a vehicle to fettle that doesn't need to go to work every day.
84000 miles, with hard top
Normally drive a navara truck for work, in quarries so am having a bit of a change (hope I have put this in the correct place? thanks GazHyde for your assist.)

Thanks to all, I am sure I will have plenty of fun with this from bailing out the boot to sorting out the scabby wheel arches.

Welcome along!

It's a funny thing, but the joy of owning a "Toy" is a liberating experience. I find the wind across my scalp to be a delightful pleasure!

Having to drive every day is dull, but when I take the Z out I look for open road and delightful country lanes. A totally different drive.

I hope it gives you much pleasure.

:)

Thanks for all of your welcome messages they are much appreciated. I have found the forum very useful so far. I have sealed both the Ariel grommet and third brake light seal after reading that these were common points of water ingress into the boot. The worst culprit was a leak at the base of the plastic window in the soft top. with a bit of patience, some black silicone and a blunt knife I have been able to seal and tuck the edge of the rag top back under the edge of the trim. I have now used Renovo and cleaned and waterproofed the top, and given the plastic window a new lease of life.
My new wing / side panel arrived today thanks to Aceman , along with my new seat bushes of course!
This afternoon I have put the hard top back on , after cleaning the sports seats and getting the airbag light to come on, as T-Tony said 'there is always something to do on these cars!' :):)
