Looking for a Z3, previously owned Toyota Supra, MR2, MGTF plus lots of 150+bhp saloons, first car back in the early sixties was a V8 Allard K2 (1948) followed by a Jag Engined Triumph Roadster also a 48 Model. Oh, I'm a bit of a dinosaur now, 70 last week but still firing on all cylinders......

:welcome: to the forum @DaveB. Quality car history you have there. Mere 49 so lagging behind somewhat. 70 old?? Nah, it's the new 50:thumbsup:. Lots to choose from so the world is your oyster. Good luck with your search, pics when you have done so. What's the cap badge (retired Crab, sorry)

Hello from Mansfield from me @jue1 (the wife). Already mentioned is Mora, she's a lovely original example and definitely worth thinking on if that's the sort of thing your after. She's a 2.0. Good luck and enjoy the forum.

Hi to all, many more replies than I had expected, the forum must be livelier than some others. OK, well I am looking at a 1.9 around 2002 at the moment, as it will be a second car and used occasionally I don't see the sense of investing too heavily (and getting too much cash past the better half is a rocky road ). It may take a while to locate what I am looking for but hey that's all part of the fun. I see the hard tops are an insane price with the "Z" as with most other convertibles, I paid £600 for an MR2 hard top a few years ago and the "TF" was not much less. I have not had a BMW since I was in Germany back in 1972 or 3, that was a 2000 Tilux (the model before the 2002). So I guess I have yet another steep learning curve ahead but at least I have found the right place to gain the knowledge.
PS, the avatar is from 1969 when "I were but a lad"....of 24.

I've bought two HT's for the cars I've imported from the UK! Last year I paided £250 plus delivery, this year £600 and @bertiejaffa delivered it for me for £30, thanks again Lee!! They sell $2000+US if you can find then and the fitting kits are as much almost in the UK. Good luck!! JIM
