New to Z3

Good afternoon all!

Over Christmas I made the impulsive decision to buy my new 2001 Z3 3.0 Manual in Oxford Green to sit alongside my (rather dirty) 435d. Looking forward to getting out in it but also looking to talk to like minded people.

Getting my local bmw specialist to have a once over it next week as I am not that mechanically minded so fingers crossed I got a good'n!

I bought it from a Chap in Daventry but the owner before that who had it since new for over 20 years was down south.

My sister lives between Lincoln and newark so I am around there quite often, some nice driving roads to take the Z out!

The A1133 from Coddington to Newton on Trent is a particular favourite of mine and Roy's (@Rha). Best bit between Collingham and Newton, lovely sweeping bends. Sadly they're under water just now.

My local BMW specialist isn't giving me the best vibes, talking about how much of a money pit the car will be etc before he has seen it.

I was wondering if anyone has a contact or a garage who could give the Z3 a quick look over to tell me where I should start working on it? I want to speak to someone who appreciates the car for what it is and that it would deserve the time and attention if necessary!

Unless he knows the car, I would find another specialist. Might just be trying too hard to manage expectations though?
