Hi everyone,
I'm the owner of a 1.9 Z3 from 1996, arcticsilver with black seats, now with170tkm, (about 100tmiles).
I bought the car, in 2009, from Germany and since we spent about 20tmiles in Europe, in the summer holidays.
The car is entirely dedicated to holiday trips (where ever we can reach on wheels!).:coolsteer)
We have a hard daily schedule from 7.00 to 19.00 : always open (except rain), we are searching for scenery roads,( no motorways if possible), which leads us to local history, culture and museums and meetings with interesting peoples. In the end of the day, a clean and quiet accommodation with mandatory parking for the car, is all we need!
Friends, forums and even TopGear inspires me for the summer plans....
I think that if I share you some of my tours you will share yours too!:drinks:
Z3 owners are anywhere very reliable peoples.
And the road in an open Z is unique.......:)
Congratulations for your forum! It's a very "alert"one!:joyful:

Hi Frankie, yes '96 was a very good year for Z3. It's taste good and it's faithfull!:)
When I decided to have a Z3 , I was checking every evening (and not only) the German internet market, for 9 months (probably the mid age crisis!:nurse:) and falled in love with the silver 96!;) I will start to prepare the representative photo album for each tour we made.....but for some of Us, forum members, it will be just enjoying our eyes, because You will not be able to remake it, as there is the Atlantic between Us , .......as I will never be able to achieve the dream to run on the Route 66 (the original:hellsangels:), on the wheel of my Zed........but we still can enjoy to share and to know people, Zed lovers .......:drinks:

You'll have to do the next best thing.....Get a big piece of cardboard, cut out the symbol of a US highway sign, paint 'US HIGHWAY 66' on it in black and white, throw it in front of your car, and run over it about 4 or 5 times. Its not the same as being here but you won't be telling a lie to say "I've driven on Route 66".

Actually, I've never driven on it myself. Not too long ago, there was a TV special about Route 66. Large parts of it have been replaced by super highways, but there are still segments of the original highway in use. I just haven't gotten to that part of the country.

Well, there could be a future target for these few segments and we will be all "revenged", the ones who will never reach the road!
