Hello,

I'm Paul, from Southampton

A couple of weeks ago I became the owner of a Black 1998 2.8 Z3 with 108k on the clock, and after registering on zroadster.net, found aceman for his seatbushes and therefore this site too, so thought I would register and say hello :-h

So far all I have done to the car is fitted a new head unit and picked up some new wheels this sunday:

I do have some minor plans for it, mainly a inspection service, few cosmetic changes, and as the back box has a slight blow, will maybe get a new backbox, custom possibly... oh and a new rear screen or renovo it! Then enjoy the summer, if we get one :)

Anyway, hello all!

from me - glad you found us.

I know one lady who will be very happy to see another black zed - I'm sure she will be along later :D and you've got the best engine size too :coolsteer) but I am somewhat biased...

Welcome to the world of zedding - looks like the weather is changing and you'll get some top down action - I take it that .net has "told" you about ZedFest? the place to be in 30 days if you own a zed !!!

The rest of the gang will be along soon to welcome you on board - always happy to have new members :D

Hi Paul,

Glad you could make it and thanks for posting the pic always good to see others pride and joy. Those wheels look realy good and set off the car well.

Hope you enjoy the site and do keep us all informed how you get on with your zed and the "few" little jobs you have planned. :D

Hi all! Thanks for the warm welcomes :)

I am thinking about attending zedfest, would like to go, and do some meets and cruises for sure!

Got a full service and inspection booked with my Indy on 6th, and will self service after that like i did with my old celica and 200sx, which was self tuned over 300bhp before we parted ways.

Just discovered the wiki, lots of reading tonight :)

Hope to meet fellow owners soon!

Paul

Paul

Welcome from the South West as well. so it looks like a Cosmos Black to me, as is my track car, it also looks to have the right colour interior too but as someone else said I am biased (It is the same as mine) I find that the single Vanos version likes to be "played" in the rev range, whereas the later twin Vanos although it sounds nicer has such a wide power band that it feels gruntier but when you can "play" with the single it is so much more fun. I shall find out if I am talking rubbish when I take the Twin Vanos onto the same track.

It is great to see another Black 2.8 joining the ranks they are just such a stand out colour!

Regards

Duncan

If you are thinking of the Zfest then may I suggest as the 2 for 1 tickets finished yesterday (but try in case they have not closed it yet just in case) if you are on your own if you contact me with the car details I can try and get the car into the infield by pretending it is a second car for someone. but you would have to decide very quick. PM me if your interested. I dare not try and delay the tickets being sent out again I think the organisers would give me short shift.
