Stumbled across this community and wanted to say Hi as a new member. Keen to learn and share experiences of being a Zed owner.

Recently acquired a Mk2 Z4 after many years of Mazda MX5 ownership. Principle reason for changing was that as my wife and I have aged we wanted something larger and a lot more comfortable - it certainly delivers on that, plus adds a huge dose of refinement!

Attraction to open top motoring was sparked by my wife's mother retiring to Nice in the south of France many years ago, giving us a reason to visit frequently and enjoy the rather more regular sunshine than we get at home. Although our Z4 is not our principle car, like the MX5 before it, we'll be using it all year round.

Only had the BMW for one month and racked up 2000 miles already as we're loving it so much! So far, can't find anything we don't like about it - also I find myself examining the design more and more and becoming more and more impressed - is it because this model was designed by a female I wonder?

Anyway, that's little bit about me. Now looking forward to exploring the community site and engaging with a few other owners along the way.

Hey Robbie and welcome from me near Lincoln. A great purchase, I had a Eunos before my Z3, I think many have come to Z ownership via that route too. Enjoy. All you may need to know is on here only a couple of clicks away.:)

Tony.

Welcome Robbie!

Many have seen the light and ended up with a BMW ;) Nice to see another one going to be enjoyed all year round and used as intended!

Shout if you have any questions.

Hi Jim, great to hear from you in Manitoba - used to visit some folks in Winnipeg so know how hard the winters can be in that province! How does your Z cope with those conditions?
Didn't get it till August. 18/14 and due to health problems didn't get much use this past winter, which only stopped snowing a month ago. But it did start fine when tried even though it didn't have a block heater being a UK import. Have a HT so will know better after next winter, likely to start in a few months time!! lol JIM
