I recently installed a dash cam on the X1 and am puzzled by the results
I am getting two versions of each short film
HI -- version very clear but very jerky [sort of Stop Start]
LO -- version not as clear but a lot smoother to watch.
The HI version is about 7.8 times larger the LO version so that's why its clearer.
Any way I can have the clear version , but running smoother.

I would prefer to only record the one version.

If successful I am looking to fit front and rear to both cars.

is this playback on the device or with the card out and on a computer.?
If its on the computer, then the computer could be the reason if its not got a fast enough graphics card.
Card out --- in an adapter--- in the pc

No idea if pc fast enough , I am amongst the last of the Luddite

PC is a 4 year old Toshiba.

I always move files onto the computer before I try to play them.

Your problem is caused by a data transfer rate that is too slow to transfer and process the high definition data.

I'm surprised that it records two versions of the same file. There is usually a setting on the camera where you choose which you want. I've never seen an option for both.

I noticed the same with the Nextbase in the wifes car, apparently the Lo resolution verdion is to make it easier for Wifi transfer of the files, you can stop it from recording both its in the settings menu just have to turn it off.
The full manual is available on the Nextbase web site & they also have a very good support tem who will answer questions e-maied to them, I know because I asked the same question :bookworm::bookworm:
