Good evening everyone! At last I joined the z3 club.
I fell in love with this car when I first saw it at my neighborhood in 1997, at the age of 8. So now, instead of getting a Z4, I went for my love with zero regrets, cause it's old and it's kinda now or never. Luckily, I found this gem in my favorite color, with 97,500km and zero rust under the car. 1,9 . It is my everyday car, and my goal is to keep this car as many years as it can go. Right now it's in a very good state. The only thing I don't like is the black vinyl sticker around the windshield. I want to remove it in the future.

I changed yesterday the adapter for the reverse lights cause they didn't work. I also bought the Redline D4 ATF to change the oil next week. I am also looking into changing the differential oil next week, but I would like an advice. I checked my VIN in both mdecoder.com and bimmer.work, and in both it states that I have S209 option. Is this information trustworthy? Cause it's a 1.9 from 1997, most of them had open defferential, not torsen. If the info is trusted I should go for 75W110 with limited slip.

I got myself the OEM hardtop fitting kit, and I m going to travel in December to South Germany to get a Hellrot hardtop. The kit was kinda full, it misses the bolts.
I need 4x Hex bolt with washerM8X12-8.8-ZNFE4 part #07119901586. I've searched everywhere but I can't find any original bolts. Will normal M8X12 do the trick? Also 8.8 is how strong the bolt is or something?

Thank you very much for taking the time reading this, enjoy your Z3!

As I understand it, and I could be wrong, Torsen diffs were not put into Z3s until 1999, so if you have an LSD (S209 is 25% LSD) it would be a clutch pack LSD. If I am talking complete B*****ks someone will point it out.

M8x12 is the size and 8.8 is the strength. By the size I am guessing they are the four small bolts for holding in the rear brackets. Anything will do and they are not overly complicated. I think the front two bolts above the windscreen are the only special ones required.
