After an epic trip back from Silverstone car very wet, next morning needed to jump start and spray with WD to get going ran OK for a short run out. Car now totally void of all electrics including central locking and ignition lights.
Tried charging battery but registering fully charged
Any ideas folks?

Could be an earth fault. I would check the main battery leads and connections where it is earthed to the body.

Take off both battery terminals and test battery voltage. Then check the positive terminal and all connections on that side of the battery. It's possible that the + battery lead has failed.

Tony.

Thanks Guys for the Replies/Advice. Pay for home start so had them out (Must be a man thing not wanting to ring - Pride and all that)
Learned something new - Most battery charges read a totally flat battery as fully charged?
So its running at the moment if its just a new battery well pleased
Did take some hammer Sunday - British summertime!

New battery now on, Instantly started but noticed a noise from inside the car, Passenger seat motor operating, seat button was stuck trying to push the seat backwards, works without ignition so had been flattening the battery when stood. So possibly bought a battery without need, never mind not bought anything for well over a week so was well over due.

I'm not sure anyone could possibly fault find that one, but it's another one to add to the list of things that flattens batteries in Z3's!

My battery showed over 12v and showed over 14 while charging, the car started ok but after 2 weeks the battery would go flat and had a few small problems with the car and the way the engine ran also the alarm would randomly go off, so brought a new battery for £38 and instant difference  the car turned over with a different more urgent ummph and the car ran better smoother and more power! and no more asc light showing (though it was only maybe 1 in 3 drives it would show)
