Yesterday afternoon as taken up by removal of floor in side conservatory. Rusty screws reminded me of repairing cars.

And speaking of cars the first job of the day was rear pads on my mates Kia Sportage. Had to move the wooden ramps from the lift to get backed in.

Then we made a start of putting down the new floor.

That small piece was the difference between returning 1 full sheet and 2.
Shirl will be shopping for vinyl tomorrow.

Cordless drills are invaluable in jobs like this. Reminds me a I need a couple of new batteries for my drills as they are not holding charge for very long.

Extra batteries always handy Pete. Our Gary is DeWalt through and through (as a tradesman) but I'm more than happy with my Ryobi gear.

I have two B & D cordless drills which I've had for years each with two batteries, but two of the batteries are not charging no matter which charger I use, so I'm down to just one battery each. Wouldn't be without them though.

Our secret weapon was our beautiful little Issabelle (7), our granddaughter, who handles a Drill driver like a professional. After drilling the clearance holes with a countersink bit and standing the screws up in them Izzy went round and fixed those boards down one after the other. I guess she might end up working for her Dad.

Good Izzy. Equality and independence are important. She’ll be fitting her own kitchen when the time arrives.
