Did try last night but no joy, I'm looking pretty much due North towards Leeds past Emley Mast. The sky was black in real life . . .

I saw the the Aurora Australis .. many years ago now, back when I lived in NZ, Jut once . Now in the tropics no chance of that....wonderful pictures...

I had actually fallen asleep on the sofa when a friend sent me photos and my son and I decided to drive to Staple Lane viewpoint at midnight. When we got there it was like Piccadilly Circus.
These were put on FB, taken at Fenton, a mile from home base.
