Not so smooth

When sitting a idle the car is feeling a wee bit lumpy

it isn't bad, just a slight hesitation , but the rev counter never moves it is spot on.

You just feel it in the seat, what could it be?

Only thing that springs to mind immediately is cam shaft sensor. :-\

Good call Swamper. I had that on my 2.0 when I first got it. Made a slight "sucky" sound when revved if I remember correctly and the engine idled/ran a bit rough although nothing extreme.

This was where mine split... £18 part from BMW.

9/10 times Gaz its the simplest things...but we start looking for the most complex ....that maf has a lot to answer for

will not be looking today, i need to fix the front discs on the Triumph today.
