I thought I'd share this fix for the seat belt guides.
With this one there is only 1 visible screw.
Hardware required:
2 x countersunk screws 2mm x 5mm
1 countersunk screw 3mm x 10mm
Strip of aluminium approx 25mm x 60mm x 1mm thick
Start by shaping the aluminim strip to fit behind the belt clip and to follow the slight curve of the clip, there's a recess that this can hide in.
Position the strip to go as far into the lower piece as possible, If necessary file a little out of the lower centre so it can "ride" the lower fixing, not as much as I did as it came too close to the new 3 x 10mm screw hole.
Once you're happy with the alignment of the 2 pieces of the clip and once again making sure that the strip is pushed down as far as it will go, the 2 holes can be drilled in the upper piece for the 2 - 2mm screws. The holes are drilled at an angle to follow the "hump" on the inner of the clip where the belt rides.
Now align both halves to meet satisfactorily and drill a hole just beneath where the belt slot finishes, drill through to the aluminium strip beneath and drill through this also. The choice of drill bits will be chosen to suit the exact screws used. Drill through with a smaller drill than the screw so that it can self - tap into the aluminium, then drill out the plastic to allow the screw to fit through. This method also applies to the 2 smaller screws. I countersunk them with a countersinking tool.
Screw the 3mm x 10mm screw through to the strip and tighten.
The finished result should look something like this:
Apply a little matt black paint to the screw to finish it off. My painting was poor - could do better.
The 2 small screws are hidden by the belt when it's in it's slot.
