I usually go for Bosch, but any good quality brand will do.

If you do it yourself always remove the oil filter from the housing before draining the sump. This allows the filter housing to fully empty as the engine oil drains.

The oil filter housing top varies with the model, some have a hex on top that a socket will fit on to get it unscrewed, others have flats around the lids edge that a special oil filter cup slots onto, need to count the flats and buy the correct one, ebay or Halfords will have them. Personally mine has the flats around the lid and the removal cup I bought is not a good fit so resort to a chain starp wrench tool, I find wrapping a rag around the top then putting the chain wrench on gives a good grip without damaging the top and it unscrews ok without damage. Some filters come with the three O rings that should be replaced and a new sump plug copper washer, Meyle filters come with all 4, just used on on a 1.9. To drain the sump you will have to raise the car to get to the sump plug, jack and axle stands for safety, drive up ramps are also worth looking at.
