Oil reset tool

Hi guys,

I've had the oil and filter changed today in the M.
I'm having trouble resetting the green bars on the dash.

I have a reset tool and I've tried plugging it in then turning the ignition to position 2 ( ignition on )
Then pressing the green oil reset button. The green light stays on for around 3-4 seconds then goes out on the tool but nothing happens.

I'm i doing it right?

Its cheesing me off as I've reset the brake fluid clock timer using the same method. Did it on first the first attempt.

It's making me wonder if its my reset tool.

No haven't tryed Mikes way but will give it ago if I cant get it working.

Sorted. Tryed it again today and after a squirt of wd40 on the plug it worked

Must have been a dry contact
