Hey all.
I live on the north end of the southern United States... haha. I've previously had an X3 m40i... with the B58... I moved from that to an F150 Raptor, and now find myself in an M Roadster (2000) as my DD. The M Roadster has been on my list for a while... the timing just worked out.
I picked up the car in SanFran... trucked it to Nashville, and I've been working through a list of "todo's" as I go. The Randy Forbes kit has already been done - bushings throughout have been done in the last few years, and the VANOS was rebuilt about 15k miles ago (Dr. Vanos). The cooling system has been gone through - hoses, aluminum thermostat housing, etc.
I've changed the Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filter, Rear Diff Fluid and the Trans Fluid (drain and fill). It seems a bit more sorted than it was.
I've also replaced the rear window with a BMW zip-in.... what an absolute pain!
I started another thread on my spark plug and coil journey, and I have a boot from the MAF to the Throttle Body quadrant on order - the current one has dry-rot cracks in it.
I also have Valve Cover gasket kit and vacuum hosese on order... as I suspect a vacuum leak in one or more places from old gaskets and hoses.
At any rate, the car is a BLAST to drive. It handles traffic and the back roads equally with ease. I'll miss the Raptor, but this is a heck of a replacement!
