My plan earlier this year was to buy a car, drive it through Europe and then sell. That went wrong when I found a Z3 I actually quite like and now I have become one of you lot alongside my other cars. I bought my car with high mileage and had very little time to check it was capable of doing a few thousand miles across the continent. It got across France, Belgium and The Netherlands though so clearly a sturdy little motor! I had never driven my own car outside the UK before either but it's surprisingly easy in my opinion. There are always surprises along the way on a roadtrip but I like the feeling of uncertainty sometimes as it makes things a little more exciting. One regret I have on that trip was my failure to stop by the racetrack site in Reims. We went through the town and had an argument instead! I did however drive around the road track in Le Mans so all is not lost.

Have a good trip. It looks great!

Sounds a great trip! Have you set the date for leaving? Also are you booking the accommodation for the group in all the countries? And any idea the costs involved?
Thanks, Barry

Hi Barry
This is just a trip me and the wife are doing but i dont mind supplying the details and folk tagging along.
The cost of something like this is around £1350 for the Hotels £165 Tunnel and around 7 tanks of fuel
I usually cost around 2k not counting spending money

I recommend AirBNB and the more remote the better. Both these places cost around 40 quid for a night. One had a bathroom with his and hers sinks and the bedroom was bigger than my living room.
