Well, I've posted before about 'optimistic' asking prices, but this one is the best yet. On fbook a 1998 1.9 ,101k miles in average condition. £15,495, now reduced to £11,000. Bargain!😂
I'm all for prices rising as the cars get older and become fewer. That's an interesting price tag, I bet he didn't get that of WBAC! When I sold Reggie 3 years ago I achieved ,£4750, WBAC offered me £50! 🙄😂

You never know how the buyer is thinking.
sold mine to a millennial who made a fortune (or close to a fortune) with crypto, for 15.000€
And some “gangsta” 90s 7 series are selling for 20.000€ or more to “trappers” who want “a big bmw” because big bmw is “gangsta”. (Some rap singer was shot in one of these, so they have to be).
its all a matter of who scrolls that facebook page.

I did see a Z3 (S reg/Oxford Green/2.8?) on my local dealer's website for £13k ~ had a look to check details, but it doesn't seem to be listed now?

It did look nice though

I’m guessing it wasn’t this one given the price and I don’t know if Eastern is your local dealer, when I saw the price I just kept walking =))

@Argyll Andy ~ yes Eastern is the dealer and that is the car I mentioned although, I didn't think it was that expensive on the website?

Did it look like it was recently restored and they wanted their money back on it?

I honestly don’t know, it looked clean enough but when I saw the price I never paid much attention as it wasn’t an M. I actually only took the picture to send to @bertiejaffa it’s also got nearly 50k on it!!!

it obviously seems like a lot of money, but if no longer available/listed it would suggest someone has parted with their hard earned…………….

Looks like someone has made the (common) error of deciding that has now become a 'classic car' and quadrupled the price accordingly.
I still can't work out when a car stops being just 'old' and turns into a classic with a hike in price to match. I know eBayers think it's at about ten years! ;)

It does make me feel a bit better about the money I paid for my 'free litre' though! And mine has the rare option of a fitted paddling pool!

Have seen some overpriced Zs lately but insurance did pay me £800 more than I paid for it 8 years ago.
And it did need some work doing, the sills were just on the turn and the front suspension and brakes needed doing (I still have all the parts available, see 'for sale' section) but the rest of it was very good.

Some of the prices have been outrageous recently. Good if you can get them but I know my 5k car is worth at least 12k as I know what I have :)

Just seen a post on the Eastern Facebook page (you'll need to scroll down a few posts) that the car has now sold and was collected
