The Mcoupe certainly divides opinion. I have never driven one so I cannot comment on the handling but I am convinced that how it goes round corners is very low on most buyers tick list. For quirky looks and rarity value they are still a comparative bargain if you buy wisely but the top end prices are strictly for collectors now. The roadster delivers the same thrills with top down cool for similar money at the bottom end of the coupe price range so for a baby boomer with a bit of inheritance to indulge themselves with there is an M for everyone. Launching one into hyper-drive between 5 & 7 thousand justifies the cost in my mind at least.
