Plastic key lossed

Hi all, I’ve lost my plastic key for the glove compartment lock. Z3 2002. Does anyone have spare to purchase or please point me in the right direction to source.
any other info to identify please say. Thanks in anticipation.

My glove box is locked with the ignition key. Have you tried this?

I don’t even have a plastic key. Ignition key locks glove box and the central storage bins.

Thank you for your replies. The ignition key does work. Should have thought of that. Wonder what the plastic one is for as I have a spare key as well. Anyway all sorted thank you.

IIRC a set of keys should consist of ...
  • 2 black keys with the alarm buttons, central locking etc
  • 1 grey key, which opens the doors and can start the engine, but doesn't set alarm
  • 1 black plastic valet key which can open the doors, glove box and cubby box behind the seats
You usually keep the valet key in your wallet/purse, so that if you accidentally get your keys locked in the car you can still get in
