When i try and upload pics using the attatchment feature it keeps telling me my files are too big, all my files are around 4mb to 6mb, how can i get them to within the limits.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Bill,

there must be an upper limit on file size as those are quite big. I managed to upload one about 1.5 gb earlier.

I'll check the setting and let you know how big is to big.

Thanks Gaz
All my pics are off a standard camera so i thought it would be a common size around 4 to 5mb. I know it says they should be around 256kb, but how can i take photos to make sure they come out under that.

Ideally you use some software to reduce the pictures size. don't change the camera settings, you want that as high as possible so that you can view the pictures in all their glory.

I'm sure someone on here can suggest a good program...

Hi billz, this is a bit of a simple answer, as I don't have my Sony camera with me at the moment but in its menu I can choose the setting (pic size) for e.mail attachments / forum attachments.

Hi,
I use Faststone image resizer.
Google Faststone and you should find a free download. It can do batches of pics in one go which can be useful.

You could upload the images as they are to Photobucket and then put a link in the forum post.

If you use the IMG tags then the actual image will appear in the post (not the link).
