I've got the Boston Green pre-facelift 2.8 listed on eBay for the 3rd time after the 2 previous winning bidders never turned up.

Anyway I was taking some additional photos for someone who was interested and noticed that 4 of the spot welds in the boot floor seem to have failed.

I thought this was only an issue in the ///M cars so would be keen to here from anyone who has experience of this in their non-///M. Thanks

I would say under normal driving that won't be an issue, that said seam weld the hanger and the boot floor and it will outlast any owner. But good bargaining find. 😉

Can happen to any car. Higher horse power and driving style just accelerates the issue.

I would get spotweld drill and take the top level of metal off then plug weld them. Finally a coat of paint.

I am finally getting around to doing permeant repairs to mine after limping it along for several years of abuse. I have a pile of metal and cutting discs at the ready. Plus I am fitting a twin eared diff cover.
