project wooded cluster pod has started, thanks to antm72 for supplying the clock pod.
job 1 - strip the pod.
the chrome rings are not held in place like the cheapo ebay jobies, there held in place by lugs at the back of the rings, took some shifting.
next part is the printing of templates (tomorrow at work:whistle:)
you can see these lug - locating holes in the pics.

Yes, I have got a full dash/console and doors kit to fit in light Burr Walnut against a black interior
American S/S roll bar, chrome side vents plus other items on my shopping list
I have also done this with my TR4 and it looks good

im thinking i might make a few of them, but another more evil part of me says hey dont as you will have the only z anywhere in the world that has a wood cluster pod, but im not that evil so yes i will make a few;)

im considering the idea of getting some laser cut from acrylic then hydrodip them. (im having a few oval mirrors cut anyway so i thought why not.

i can get back onto this in the next couple of days, been tied up with making a new rifle stock, then i spent time searching for a new/smaller oval mirror, found a supplier of acrylic mirrors that will cut one for me at the size and shape i want, so ordered one. i will be making a new mirror at the same time as my wooded clockset.
