Hi all...I'm new to the site, just got a 2000 z3, and it is a basically a project car. The fella I got it from had it on stands for 4 years, and before he parked it he bought all new front and rear suspension and bushings..less the springs. While putting in the rear shocks, I noticed the spring was broke on the bottom. Anyone know if some other 3 series springs work?. I'm having trouble finding them online new, only used on eBay. Thanks for help. I'm sure I'll be on here more.

You should be able to find rear springs easily enough in the aftermarket. Where are you located?

Tony.

ps. Welcome to the forum by the way Tom.

Hi Tom and welcome to the forum from Bognor Regis.

I have just bought rear springs for mine which I bought online from Autodoc. There are lots of other online sites that do them but prices and discounts vary from week to week.

Its recommended though that both springs ( in your case rears) are changed together.

The front of a Z3 is based on an E36 and the rear end on an E30. All the same you can't use 3 series springs to my understanding. Put it this way, in every catalogue I've seen different parts are listed between the 2 cars.

As Tony says, should be plenty of Z3 specific aftermarket springs around.

You need Zed rear springs or the back end will be very high. They do fit but are not correct.
