Hi all - just got my Z3 out after being in the garage for the winter. Unfortunately I now have surface rust showing at the front of the sills on both sides. I also need a long scratch painted and the headlights restored. Can anyone recommend a bodywork specialist around Surrey / West Sussex or Hampshire? I am in Haslemere.
Also I have a problem with the dash the extended leather has shrunk and come away from the dash top. Can anyone recommend an auto trimmer who can fix it please?

Perfect timing - i have the exact same 2 issues on a silver 3.0ltr Z3 I’ve just bought!

I’ve got as far as a quote on replacing both sills and respraying. Came in at an eye watering £2.2k although that did include neighbouring panel respray etc so a reasonable amount of the car ends up getting resprayed…..the sills alone are £172 each plus vat etc
That was at Leatherhead Coachworks who were very helpful and looked like a good set-up so i wont rule it out, but would likely go for a full respray i think while I’m at it.

Re dash trim, i was trying to work out who would do that sort of work - on mine the leather looks to be complete still, you can see holes along the front where I presume it is normally fixed, but i don’t know if it can be re stretched into place or needs replacing…interested to hear of recommendations for who could do this. We’re in Epsom so same locations would work

Suggest you may wish to ring Your Will at TWG in Camberley. He’s been quite helpful when I have had questions as regards alternatives.

Alternative see you at the Runneymead meet at the end in the month. May be a good place to source recommendations.
