Recommended suspension?

Hi all,

I'm looking to replace my standard suspension with coilovers.

What do people recommend? Just want it a little lower to sit on my 17's nicer & handle a bit better (which comes with being lower to the ground anyway).

I've seen the BC's get rated well but seem quite expensive for intended use.

Has anyone had any experience with a few cheaper sets?

Cheers.

My car came to me with K&W suspension fitted. I couldn't tell you much it cost but it does seem very good to me.

Tony.

I've had a look, K&W was around £1,200 mark! Think I'll go with either Ta Technix or Ap Coilovers. Just weighing up how much better AP are than Ta for an extra £250!

You can get the complete set TA Technix Coilovers BMW E36 Compac for 189 euro from Germany! that is a good price!

is that what you are planing to pay?

@Jack0495 can the TA's be used without lowering the car? If that price is right and these are pretty good and I can maintain height [I don't want to increase camber angle] I might get a set for myself - I couldn't get a set like this in Australia for anywhere near that price IMHO.

I recall that there is a set of AP coilovers for around £250 on .net
Not used, still boxed I think.

I got some feedback from @Michaelpase that he has just fitted (or rather Lee has) JOM Blue Line coilovers. Seem to be priced around the £160-200 mark so keeping an eye on those for sure.

His certainly looks to be sitting pretty at the moment

That's correct £180 for ta technix :)
I think coil overs have a 30-75mm drop so you'll have a slight drop if youre wanting as high as possible

I think someone may have bought those this afternoon, and may be going on a certain red coloured Z3 in the near future...

I have the TA Technix ones fitted to my zed, they have been on about 5 months now and so far they have been spot on. There is plenty of adjustment on the fronts although not as much on the rear but you can run without the adjusters and just the springs for their lowest setting. They are a firm ride and a little bouncy but for the price you won't go far wrong. Just make sure you grease the threads up as I have read they can seize up.
